Located in the St. Louis, Missouri area, A Family Affair Photography is a unique approach to portraiture. Ashley Behrle predominantly uses natural lighting which means she will meet you on location of your choice. Early morning or late evening works best! She strives to capture the significance in every moment. Her method is to allow the moments to happen naturally without being “in your face”, a "fly on the wall" so to speak. Giggles from your chubby, smiling baby, soft, sweet kisses between a new husband and wife, or the love and bond between parents and a new soul into this world, THESE are the moments that she captures; otherwise lost forever. She has a professional yet casual approach that allows the photographs to simply speak for themselves.
I have a degree in art from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. I originally went to school to be an art teacher and I quit my job as a teacher and decided to do this full time. I started taking photos of family and friends because I loved doing it. Then it started to grow into more than just a hobby. I really felt like God was directing me into this area of business and this could be my “purpose”. It has been such a blessing to capture these moments for people. I now devote my time to running this small, but growing business. It means everything to me for my clients to be happy and to have photographs they can cherish for a lifetime. My work is more than just a picture, it is a piece of art, and that's how I treat every. single. one.

Earlier this year, my husband and I welcomed our biggest accomplishment, Adalynn, into this world. We are busy being doting parents (we are kind of obsessed) and growing this business. If I'm not enjoying my work, I'm enjoying chasing after my daughter and spending time with family! Life could NOT be any better!
